Black and white challenge: Day one

My good friend Brad Neff offered me the black and white challenge, so here goes. This image was taken in 2010 during one of the two annual Masses held at St. Bridget Catholic Church near Axtell, Kansas. I was shooting from the balcony when I heard a noise behind me. The woman was trying to ring the bell while her daughter watched from below. She kept looking at me, so I waited until she finally grew bored and looked up at her mother. The light on her face was perfect.
