Anyone up for capturing a moment in time?

On Sunday, May 2, at 1500 hours Greenwich Mean Time (10 a.m. Central Daylight, otherwise check the schedule), photographers all over the world will snap one image that will be uploaded to the New York Times for what they describe as "a timely global mosaic created by all of us." The images can be about anything: arts and entertainment, community, family, the economy, nature, wildlife, religion, social issues, work—you name it. The field is open. All that's needed is a camera, an idea, and a few ounces of pressure on the shutter release.

According to the New York Times' website, participants have up to five days to submit the photo. The results should be compelling.

My idea is this: if anyone wants to e-mail me their photo, I'll post it here, too. Sort of a smaller version consisting strictly of DFK readers. If you're game, please send a large file size and include your name and where the image was taken. I'll do the rest.

I have no idea where I'll be or what I'll shoot, though I have an idea that's slowly forming. It depends on whether I can get permission. If not, something else will speak to me. There is never, ever not something to photograph.

So, anybody game?
